Can Fefol Be Taken During The First Trimester Of Pregnancy?

my doc prescribed me to take fefol lastweek when i went for my ultra sound scan, it show that i was 8w4d pregnant and the baby was fine having seen the heartbeat. he also detected a cyst on my left ovary and said to take fefol which i am confused because i read on the packet that it s not safe for first trimester pregnancies? please help me.

Hi, fefol contains iron and folic acid , so it should not be taken in 1st trimester. Iron should not be taken in 1st trimester. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. You can take only folic acid tablets.
