Can Folic Acid 800mg Be Cut Into Half Before Consumption?

I ve been taking Folic Acid 400 mcg tablets for quite a few yrs.. (Prescription) My husband bought over the counter bottle, and got 800 mcg. I d already taken several days worth before noticing the mcg difference... Ok? to continue that dosage? Or try to cut them in half?

It’s possible to take half a tablet of folic acid. The tablet conserves its properties even when divided in half.
