Can Foracort Be Used For Longer Duration?

hi doc, my daughter is 3 yrs old. since 2 1/2 yrs she suffers from cold and cough, precisely since july this yr. Every 3 weeks she has taken antibiotics...she had severe cough and doctor has prescribed her with foracort. They say its a bronchital inflammation. I would like to know whether she will have to use this medicine for long? Is this inflammation severe? Is this a beginning of asthma ? thanks

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if Foracort be used for longer duration . Well there is ingredients like Formoterol and Budesonide in foracort . Budesonide is corticosteroid which has some long term complications so as formeterol . So i would suggest you to continue this drugs strictly as per prescription . If your wish to use it for longer times period then consult your doctor and use it as per prescription . Also take steam to relieve the symptoms and take vitamin C supplement to boost the immunity .
