Can GERD Cause Palpitations?

I am having what I believe to be PVC or PAC it is frequenting on daily basis. It takes my breath away, I have GERD and anxiety. I can just be relaxed and they will take place. does the GERD contribute to these heart palipitations. and i have belching and gas along with these its like belching relieves it momentarily. the palipations feel as if the heart has paused skipped a beat quivers and then violently conntracts and thuds. I have had EKGS should i be worried are any of these symptoms related to or causing these PVCS

Hi,

Check thyroid levels TSH, T3,4 levels and if it's occurring from quite a long time along with EKG, echocardiography is recommended too! GERD does not directly cause this but it could be anxiety related. It may be due to caffeine, nicotine, stress, physical overexertion or hormone changes. Also, some breathing techniques can relieve these symptoms when combined with medicine. You have to rule out at least above mentioned conditions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
