Can Gabapentin Mylan Be Taken By A Hepatitis B Carrier?

My father is a Hepatitis B carrier from birth. He has been told not to take any medicine with paracetamol in it. A new doctor has prescribed him Gabapentin Mylan 300mg tablet for his spasm in his low back that is affecting his calves and hindering his walking. is it safe for him to take this new medicine?
