Can Gabapentin Be Taken After Taking Lyrica?

Yesterday at my doctors visit, we decided we would try lyrica 50mg instead of gabapentin 300mg for my pain. I took 1 lyrica tab at 4:00 pm. I can tell from my pain that I do not wish to change. Can I take a 300mg gabapentin pill right now without any problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If you have taken only one tablet of Lyrica and you have decided that you want to continue Gabapentin, then yes you can take it today. There is no problem in taking Gabapenntin after a single dose of Lyrica. Yes both of them should not be continued.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
