Can HCG Drops Affect The Heart Rate?

Can hcg drops affect the heart rate? My heart rate went up to 100 and when exercising to 145 or 150 at insignificant speed on the eliptical say 3.5 mph I lost 48 lbs on the drops and am not on them now. I still need to lose about 80 lbs - are they safe to take. My blood pressure is in the normal range. I am 57
