Can HCG Injection Delay The Period Or Conceive?

35 yrs old, 125 lbs, 5ft tall......my 1st menstrual cycle on clomid fr my 5th to 9th cycle day, had an hcg injection on my 2nd day of ovulation.....tried to conceive that night and next 2 days......after about 1 week i experienced so many hot flashes, few headaches and little nausea with highly sensitive sense of smell.......i have a very very regular period of having a 27day and rarely 28 day cycle......ihad no precramping or other premenstrual symptoms and now the hotflashes have significantly decreased.......this is the end of my 28day cycle with no sign of my period coming........i have felt tiny slightly uncomfortable feelings on both sides of my ovaries just in past 2 days thinking it may be my period coming......tested negative on home pregnancy test........my question.....could the hcg injection have delayed my very regular period or could i be pregnant possibly
