Can HIV Be Caused By A Needle Prick In A Shop?

About 8 weeks ago, I was being fitted for a dress and I stepped on a sewing pin or needle. It jabbed my the bottom side of my foot. I think the pin might have been lying on the floor or came out of the bottom of the dress. What are my chances of contracting hiv from this incident? I am really VERY anxious and would like your opinion.

Hello, thank you for your contact to health care magic. If I am your doctor I suggest you that there is very very low chance you got infected. HIV can't survive in the environment for even a half hour. Secondly there is very less chance that needle is previously pricked to HIV positive person. If you have to ask me anything you can contact me. Dr Arun Tank. Infectious disease specialist. Thank you.
