Can HIV Be Contracted Through Infected Needle Used By A Dentist?
4 weeks ago, I went to dentist he was very mean & terribly agressive. He wanted to pull out 4 teeth & place a bridge for $ 3,500 wen my x-rays don t show any decay or reason to do that. As i was walking out, I realized a woman that hates me works there. When my numbness went away I was in pain he filed down my molars almost to the gums. If he used dirty needles, what are the chances of me getting HIV?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have been afraid of having HIV after infected needles of syringe. Well a person who is a dentist or working there definately be very careful in using disposable needles and sterilized equipment and aware about there sterilization during any procedure. You need not to worry. More so even if the needle is dirty, you will be getting infection only if the needle used in previous person had HIV infection, chances of which are very unlikely. You should visit psychiatrist once if any fear or such thoughts comes to your mind.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
