Can HIV Be Contracted Through Oral Sex?
I performed oral sex on a guy I met online 10 months ago. I only did it for about 5 minutes before I left because I wasn t feeling it, he didn t ejaculate in my mouth and there was minimal to no precum. I ve only been ill once since and that was about 4 months afterwards, 99% sure it was a common cough and cold that I caught off family members who had the same thing though. I haven t had any other symptoms at all. I m fit as I ve ever been and am rarely ill. I wanted to know the risk/chance I could ve contracted HIV through this activity and also the chance that I could be living with HIV without symptoms and without knowing it. You could have only contracted the disease if you had oral ulcers and breach of oral mucosa at that time.
He need not have ejaculated but some seminal fluid is always secreted before that during the excitation.HIV Disease is spread via a mixing of infected blood and body fluids.
You are very right that you must have contracted cold due to droplet infection from the family but to exclude any possibility just go for a blood test after 2 months (HIV has an incubation period of 6 months and positivity will not appear in test till that).
