Can HIV Infection Be Transmitted By Touch?

Hi.. I m very worry. my Daughter is in her teething phase. I brought her out to the mall, and a passerby just pinch both her cheeks (pressing both cheeks with one hand) What if the person has fresh blood on her hand and my baby sucks the fresh blood assuming they are hiv positive. will she get hiv from that as she is teething? Please answer my question asap if possible. Thank you so so much

Hi,

Greetings from HealthcareMagic!

The action of sucking fresh blood off a finger has very less chances of leading to HIV infection as a non-infected person's saliva has a protective effect. Very less blood could have been sucked in the incident you have described. Yet, to be sure, you can get HIV testing done 12 weeks after exposure.
