Can HIV Take More Than 5 Months To Detect While Having Swollen Lymph Nodes, Night Sweats, Rashes, Sore Throat And Ulcers?
The HIV RNA PCR test is negative after 5 months, 15 days but I am having symptoms (swelling lumps nodes, night sweats, rash, sore throat, 7kg weight loss, autoimmune diseases, anus fissure, penish ulcer ).i sex call girlswollen lymph node in neck.Does it take more than 5 months to detect HIV Pls comment Plsss
HIVRNA PCR test can detect the HIV infection within 15-33 days. Hence, a test done after more than 5 months, means you are negative for this infection. Though, this test is having a very high sensitivity and specificity in its results, still, antigen-antibody test (4th generation combination test) is the most accurate test, out of all these tests.
Hence, if you are having symptoms, as described, then you may be required for further testing like other infections or auto-immune diseases etc. Testing for tubercular infection seems a requirement in your case. For reaching at a definite diagnosis, even a biopsy of the lesions or glands may also be indicated.
