Can HPV Be Transmitted To The Girls Who I Have Had Sex With Considering I Am HPV Positive?

looking down, I got about 3 little warts on the right side of the base of my penis and 2 on the left side.An urologist who inspected them visually about 5 days ago told me that I got HPV because the condom couldn´t protect those parts. Before I got the warts checked, I did have anal sex in separated occasions with two different girls using always a condom. is it possible that i may have transmitted the HPV to them? If so, is it dangerous for them? I´ve read that HPV can cause cancer of the anus. Are they at high risk? Thank you

Hello,
I think that the risk is certainly much lower since you were using a condom. However, HPV is very prevalent in our society and it is very important that ALL women have Pap smear every year. There is also a vaccine for HPV that women can receive if they are the right age. There are also many types of HPV and not all of them cause cancer. Types 16 and 18 are usually the ones that cause cancer so just because you have genital warts does not mean that you will cause them to have cancer. There are many variables involved.
