Can HPV Infection Raise/lower WBC Count?

Would having an HPV infection raise/lower your WBC? It s something I ve been very concerned about so I got a CBC done and EVERYTHING came back perfect. I had two genital warts removed about 4 months ago and had the CBC done about a week and a half ago.

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
HPV is a virus. Any viral infection can leads to dtop in total wbc count. Or vount may remain normal. So if you hage normal wbc count then no need to worry. Just be relaxed.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.

Pathologist and Microbiologist Dr. Shailja Puri's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
HPV infection will not affect the white blood cell counts.
HPV infection is known to cause genital warts, epithelial dysplasia and malignancies.
However, an increase or decrease in white blood cells is not known to occur with HPV infection.

Thanks and take care
