Hi dear user
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Sweating and hot flashes are some of the most common signs of perimenopause, the years leading up to menopause. You are 53 years old and i think you are in one of this periods of life.
flashes and excessive sweats happen as a result of estrogen of fluctuating or decreasing estrogen levels.Hormone therapy is the most effective way to treat excessive sweating.
If HRT doesn't work there are other treatments that may help but i suggest to go to a menopause specialist, for the right treatement for you.
Some women find relief with this simple tips:Control the air temperature,Keep a cool drink by your side,Stop smoking,Include soy in your diet.Control your stress.Stop the cafeine and alcohol.

Hope i have answered to your questions. If you have further questions ,i will be happy to help.
Wish you good health.
