Can HSG Test Cause Any Changes In The Menstrual Cycles?

Hi, we are planning for a baby from last 2 months. I have regular period cycles and taking folic acid tablets.
My Gync has advised me to go for HSG test. Just was little curious to know whether we should go for HSG test or wait for some more time? Does it have any side-effects on the cycles.
History - My age is 29.
