First of all, please do not do not pay attention to the advertisements or over the counter products which claim to reduce weight in a few days.
These weight loss supplements tend to interfere with the normal body metabolism and result in lots of side effects.
Considering the case history that you are on medication for Type II diabetes, Hypothyroidism and Hypertension, the gain in weight can be attributed to a derangement in the blood sugar or thyroid levels in the body.
Under such conditions, it would be better to consult your treating Doctor and get certain investigations like estimation of blood pressure & blood sugar levels, Thyroid profile & Lipid profile done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Polash Sannigrahi, General & Family Physician
