I currently vape and I have HLAB-27( autoimmune disorder), I m going to be on humeria soon since we ve tried anti-inflammatorys which didn t help and other methods. I was wondering since humeria lowers the immune system would that increase my risk of cancer? Should I be worried?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the Humira contains Adalimumab, monoclonal antibody used for variety of clinical conditions to control underlying inflammation when certain medications do not work or do not give satisfactory results. The Humira is associated with common side effects as headache, upper respiratory tract infections, GI upset with bloating and diarrhea, skin rash through hypersensitivity

However, there are no data that Humira increases the chances of cancer in various studies.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
