Can Hydroxyzine Cause Loss Of Consciousness?

I took 50 mg (2 pills of Benadryl for an allergic reaction) was completely knocked out. I have a prescription now for 25 mg of Hydroxyzine. Will this give same effect? Should I cut the pill in half? I do not want to have the same reaction as with the 50 mg of Benadryl. Thank you

Hydroxyzine is too,sedative can induce sleep better to take half tab of hydroxyzine (25mg) to avoid repetition of over sleepness
