Can I Bring Cholesterol Under Control By Only Doing Exercises And Changing Lifestyle?

Hi Doctor,

I did a blood test and found that my LDL is 170 and HDL is 55 and my total cholestrol is 236.

I was having blood sugar of 135 in fasting and 162 after food ( 2hrs ).

Doctor prescribed for Statix 10 mg for cholestrol.

Is it required to start the medication or will it enough doing exercise and changing the life style.

Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
as your sugars are high and cholesterol is also high then it's recommended that you take the medicine. You also need to make lifestyle changes and repeat tests after 6 months. If they have returned to normal then doctor will consider stopping medicationsq
Thanks.
Dr Bhagyashree.
