Can I Conceive Again With History Of Subchronic Hematoma And Placental Abruption?

Hello, Back on 31st of August 2013, I suffered from a believed subchorionic hematoma, which caused a large hemorrage, pprom and a partial placental abruption. I was 22 weeks pregnant. I stayed in a speciallist hospital for 5 weeks before finally going into spontaneous labor on October 6th at 27+6 weeks. During my stay in hospital, I never stopped bleeding and in the last couple of days before I gave birth, I was losing half a pint if blood a day. My son is fine now thank goodness and I have mostly recovered but I have had no information on whether it is safe for me to have any more children or the likelihood of me being able to carry to term in future. Was my issue a one off or will I be unlikely to be able to carry ay more children? I have read that if someone has had a placental abruption once, then they are 10 times more likely to have another in future but I had the subchorionic hematoma too so does that make my odds worse? Please advise me. Thanks for your time. Carla.

hi,
Thanks.. what u have read is right about abruption that patients with previous history of abruption have an increased chance of abruption in future. But that doesn't mean u cant have a normal pregnancy.. There are many cases where the patient have carried on the pregnancy till term without much complication. It would be advisable to take adequate rest during the course of ur future pregnancy.
