Can I Contract STD, HIV Or Hepatitis By Using Borrowed Safety Pin?

Hi I am concerned about contracting an STD or HIV or hepatitis from a safety pin that I sTuck myself with. The safety pin belonged to someone I know and I'm afraid that she may have stuck herself with it before me. And i stuck myself worn it after her. Is it possible that I could have contracted something like hepatitis or something else from her? The safely poi had been attached to a necklace and hanging on my wall for a week. Please help. This is really stressing me out

It is extremely unlikely that you would have contracted such a disease from your friend. First of all, she would have had to have had a blood born disease, then she would have had to stick herself deeply enough to get blood on the pin, then the blood would have had to remain on the pin without being washed or wiped off until you used it and stuck yourself. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You could always ask your friend if she had any infections, and if she ever stuck herself. If she says that she does and that she stuck herself, at that point, you can see your doctor and get tested. Good luck!
