Can I Discontinue The Medication For Hypertension As I Feel OK?

I am a hypertension patient. I am regularly taking (1) Tab Raz 20 mg (once a day), (2) Tab Arkamine 0.1 mg 1/2 tab twice a day, (3) Tab Tozar 25 mg twice a day, (4) Tab Metpure XL 50 mg once a day, (5) Tab Glyhypoplus 20 mg one at night, and (6) Tab Clavix AS 75 mg one a night. I got sick in January this year. I am now taking regularly the above medicines. My BP is around 150/90. I visit my doctor once in a month or so. Could you kindly advise me if I can stop taking any of the above medicines as I am quite o.k. and have no problems whatsoever Kindly advise. Thanks PK

Welcome to HCM

NO
Blood Pressure – by itself – has no symptoms / silently leads to complications and target organ damage
If the pressure is maintained well and you have no symptoms for an year or more – Discuss with your doctor … he/she may try to reduce – NOT STOP – the dose and/or omit any one drug, depending on total picture / assessment
