Can I Get Pregnant After Unprotected Sex With Recent History Of Ectopic Pregnancy?

Hi,

I recently had surgery for ectopic pregnancy on 11/21/13 and lost my tube as well. However I had unprotected sex on 11/30, 12/1, 12/2 and 12/03/13 . Now this past Saturday my breast started feeling tender. My question is I cannot beckon pregnant so soon right? I have since stop having sex because im not trying to get pregnant. By the way I recently had two miscarriage prior to this 2012 & 2013 and im in my 40's.

Thank You

Hi, thank you for writing on Healthcare Magic.
It is possible for a woman to have breast tenderness following an ectopic pregnancy. Also, following an ectopic pregnancy, your period may return within 4 to 8 weeks. From what you have described, there could be a possibility of pregnancy but you cannot do a pregnancy test now because it can result to false positive result (it takes up to 8 weeks before becoming negative after an abortion or ectopic pregnancy). You may need to do a pelvic ultrasound after a few weeks to rule out pregnancy.
I hope I have answered your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
I wish you good health
