Hi, I had an abortion, Exactly seven days after days after the abortion I had unprotected sex. I am on birth control and I started the Sunday after the abortion. Are there any chance that I'm pregnant? Also I have been having sharp pains since the abortion, before and after having sex. what does this mean?

It is extremely unlikely that you would have gotten pregnant that soon after having an abortion. Usually, it takes at least 2-3 weeks before you start ovulating again after an abortion. However, it is dangerous to have sex that soon after a surgical procedure because of the risk of infection. you should speak with your doctor about when it is safe to start having sex again and to start on a reliable form of contraception before you resume having sex again.
