Can I Get Pregnant While Using Duphaston Tablets?

Im 32 years old taking melaine for almost 8 years . Last year i seldom menstruate and consulted my OB she told me to stop and take duphaston for 15 years. Can i get pregnant while on duphaston? im on my day 9th with dupahston when will i have my period? i fear of getting pregnant.Can i take contraceptive pills?

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. Duphaston is micronized progesterone and can be safely used. If you have been prescribed a course, you are likely to expect withdrawal bleeding 3-10 days after completing the course. Pregnancy cannot happen with the medication alone, nor does it protect from conception. To add contraceptives, you need to consult your health care provider. Hope this helps.
