Can I Give A Smaller Dose Of Rinex Ped Syrup To My Toddler?

i bought Rinex ped syrup the pharmacist told me it will dry out my 2year old sons and stop the blockness but know after reading the dosage i see its not for children younger than 6years of age can i give him a smaller dose or should i just give him nothing
