Can I Give My Infant Avil Or Softin Syrup For Mucus And Coughing That Worsens With AC At Night?

Hi, doctor my baby boy is 5months old he absolutely fine but I think he sleeps in the AC just only at night around 28 degree and we slow down our ceiling fan that s why he s throat has mucus for last 2 to 4 days and constantly coughing now he is having little bit of difficulty in breathing only if he is in AC. otherwise not. Can I give him avil syrup or softin syrup. We live in Pakistan.
