Can I Go To The ER For Help Tapering Off Alprazolam After Taking It Daily For 8 Months?

I have been taking 3 1mg Alprazolam tablets a day for right at 8 months now and I recently decided to move to another state for a better job opportunity and I decided itd be best to quit and I only brought 2 days worth with me. My fear is the withdrawal process and I’m not sure what to do. I do not have a prescription and started taking them to help with the loss of my Father that was real abrupt and unexpected. Is this something I can go to the ER for to possibly get help being tapered off? Please help me out here because I am bettering my life and don’t want this to slow me down. For your information it’s been about 6 hours since I’ve taken my last dose.
