Can I Have Beer With Stitches In My Mouth?

Hi, my name is cory, i recently had jaw surgery ( monday, 2 plates in left mandible ) and i have some dissolvable stitches in my mouth and i was wondering, since its mothers day, if i had a a few beer with my mother would it be okay. PS i do take Tylenol 3 with codeine. (obviously wouldnt mix the two)

Stitches in the mouth for a jaw surgery will make the use of beer impossible and not advised. Use soft diet and oral mucosa friendly.These beverages will lead to aphthous ulcers and oral discomfort. I would say stay away from beer and find a friendly way to celebrate the mothers fay with you mom.
