Can I Have Eclampsia Due To Pre Hypertension?

Hi, I was induced at 37 weeks with my first child because of severe eclampsia, now she is 11 months old and I am 7weeks pregnant to our second child. My blood pressure today was 138/92 which is prehypertension. What are my chances of having eclampsia again? I am afraid. Thanks for advice!

Hi your bp is raised borderline .the normal like limit is 120/80. Previous history of preeclampsia makes u susceptible to hypertention in this pregnancy also. U can request your obstetrician to monitor bp on daily basis. You can be sterted on labetelol at the lowest dose if the readings are high persistantly. Avoid physical and mental stress take adequate rest . watch out for pedal edeme headache blurred vision decreased urine . baby movements should occur 10 times a day. Get ur basic investigations done.do not panic .
