Can I Have My Suprapubic Catheter Removed Since I Am Now Urinating Normally?

I had a Suprapubic Catheter inserted on 15 January because of an enlarged prostate. But 4 day later i was able to pass urine through the penis. Nothing is going through the catheter now so is it possible i can get it removed. Also i find myself going to the bathroom regular is that common.
