Can I Make Love During Menses?

Dear doctor, Please is that truth? people can make love during the menstruation??? I am a chinese female. But the Chinese doctors always keep saying people can not make love during the menstruation. Chinese femal's body is not so strong as the western female?So Chinese female can not make love during the menstruation? Thanks for answering.
