Can I Recover While Suffering From ALS?

I was diagnosed with ALS almost a year ago. Although progression has been fairly slow, I have have only slight dorsal flex in my right foot, none on my left, and unable to move my toes. I have also become very unstable on my feet without holding on to something. As recently as yesterday I noticed movement in all my toes and I am able to stand and walk unaided. I am afraid to hope I could actually be in remission or even misdiagnosed by top specialists in the field for fear of having to face the bad news all over again. Is it possible?? Is there a likelihood I will survive this after all??
