Can I Restart Primolut N For 9 Days To Delay Bleeding During My Trip If My Period Doesn’t Start After Stopping It?
Hi Doctor, I am 42 years and last month I missed my periods and now I am going on religious trip so I start taking priomolut N for three days and then stop it so periods can come but if periods didn’t start and I have to go on trip on 28 March is it possible I start taking primolut again for 9 days ?
Normally, withdrawal bleeding should happen within 3–7 days after stopping. If you do not have withdrawal bleeding, restarting without confirming whether you are pregnant is not safe. If there is even a small chance of pregnancy, norethisterone can affect it. So , you are advised to take a home pregnancy test. You can restart after pregnancy is excluded and if your health allows. Get clinically examined by a gynecologist before restarting.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
