Can I Resume Taking Tenormin While Having Shortness Of Breath And High Blood Sugar After Switching To Hydrochlorothiazide?

Hello Doctor, I was recently taken of 50 mg of Tenormin, because of a low pulse by a heart doctor. I am now on 12.5 mg of Hydrochlorothiazide the past 5 days and am having short of breath problems off and on. My sugar levels have increased to as high as 300, and I had to take more Glucophage to get it back down. My blood pressure seems to run higher around 140/82, with a pulse of 74 and runs higher some times. My question is can I go back on Tenormin and only take 1/2 a pill (25 mg) til I see my regular doctor Tuesday.
