Can I Safely Use Fucidin For A Persistent, Itchy, And Painful Perineal Cut That Has Turned Into An Irritated Red Spot?

About a month ago i noticed a slightly painful cut on my perenium that itches and hurts when i wipe and It hasnt gone away. Since seems to have turned into an irritated red spot. Is it safe to use fucidin assuming it might be the same kind of bacterial infection that i have had before on a different part of me?
