Can I Start Having Metformin During Pregnancy?

I have stage 4 endometriosis and am due for Frozen Embryo transfer next week. I noticed that I have developed a sudden sweet tooth and am gobbling up too much sugar and refineded carbs. Is it ok to start on Metformin for this? I have heard a lot of positive stuff about metformin and pregnancy so I d like to try it even though I have no PCOS and have not tested for insulin resistance.

I would not advice the initiation of any medications during pregnancy without the direct advice from your doctor, as he/she would know best about your current status and requirement. Please do not self-prescribe for anything, especially during pregnancy.
