Can I Still Drink Alcohol With A Heart Murmur ?
A few weeks ago my GP informed me that I had a slight heart murmur, and suggested I get a heart x-ray done to check that everything s alright, but it s not urgent. Ever since then I ve regularly felt dull twinges across my chest, but am trying not to worry because I tend to overreact to little things like this, so it s probably normal and I m just more aware of it now. There is no history of heart problems in my family. This weekend I m going to a music festival (my first as a legal adult), and I m just wondering if drinking alcohol will be bad for my heart? EDIT: Medication-wise, I m on the contraceptive pill. But nothing else.
