Can I Suffer From Both RA And Hepatitis C?

In June I was diagnosed with RA, family history, and chronic. Methotrextate did not work, yesterday another Rhuemotogist diagnosed me with Hepatitis C, saying that the symptoms mimic RA. I am not being treated except for Predisone. Can I suffer from both illnesses, and the blood work is confusing to me.

Hello
Let me explain the facts .
1 Rheumatoid arthritis as its name indicate is a disease of joints causes by streptococcus bacteria . In this disease usually minor to major joints involves and due to deposition of crystal there develops stiffness.
2 Hepatitis as its name indicate is disease of liver caused by VIRUS .
Regardless of the epidemiologic mode of acquision of hepatitis C virus ( HCV) infection, chronic hepatitis follows acute hepatitis C in 50-70 % of cases .
Here I want to tell you that prednisolone acts in these both disease.
In my opinion consult one more physician and get his opinion regarding both disease . Also get in HBASG for C and R A Factor for rheumatoid disease .
Methotraxate is a very nice drug for rheumatoid but this also causes adverse effect over LIVER .
Good luck.
