Can I Sustain Pregnancy With History Of Ablation?

Good afternoon. I am 42 years old. I had an endometrial ablation 10 years ago. Since my ablation, I have regular periods. Bleeding is light the first day then more "regular" on the 2-4th day. Light for last 2 days. So, total of 6 days bleeding. I have just found out that I am almost 6 weeks pregnant. I've had no break through bleeding, no nausea, but have had some mild low back pain and very mild uterine cramping. My question is... having had the ablation, will I be able to sustain a pregnancy? Does the lining grow back over time? I am very worried about losing the baby. The baby is very much wanted. This is my first pregnancy. I had a sonogram in August due to a problem with my IUD. It showed my uterine lining to be .5. I don't know if that is .5mm or .5 inches??? I would assume at .5mm, implantation probably could not occur, correct? Please offer your advice and expertise. Thank you.

Hi,
I have read your query & understood the concern.
The growing back of endometrium over year is known. The fact that you had regular periods after ablation ,that you have conceived 6 months confirms it in your case.
The measurement of thickness of uterine line depends on the phase of menstrual cycle, in which it was checked.so dont worry.the thickness signifies hormonal suffisiensy which can be automatically raised after conception/can be externally supplemented as per need..so dont worry
Still you have to be careful about certain things,
-Getting the pregnancy confirmed/regularly assessed & the instructions for treatment, to be strictly followed
- Get triple guard test done to exclude certain fetal problems in cases of late conception.
Take care, Thanks.
