Can I Take HPT On 17th Day Of Cycle?
i am 35 yrs. old, have type 1 diabetes, have been taking 10mg lipitor daily for 1-2 yrs. i might possibly be pregnant. it is day 17 of my cycle, way to early to take a pregnancy test. i had unprotected sex 2 days ago. should i stop taking the lipitor or continue until i take a pregnancy test?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Lipitor is atorvastatin, which is pregnancy category X drug and is contraindicated in pregnancy. It has known to cause fetal defects in animals. I would suggest you to consult your physician so that you can be switched over to some safer alternative in case you have conceived.
I would suggest you to stop taking lipitor till pregnancy test is performed if the period is overdue.
