Can I Take Ovral For Irregular And Delayed Periods?

Hello, My age 27 , married 6months back , after marriage my periods are irregular , actually my period starts around 10th but later 3 rd , 7th , 23rd, 28th, this month till not yet started . From February we planning for honeymoon but my periods starts at that time and I used promolit tablet two times but my periods not stopped my trip was stopped all the time , now we planning for trip from October 2nd for 4 days, so I worried for my periods may starts at that dates.i went to doc , she gave ovaral l tablet to use for 21days. wat I have to do , kindly suggest me

Hallow Dear,

If you have started this irregularity in your menstrual cycles, it is mostly due the stress caused by changed environment after marriage. If you can get out of the stress, your menstrual regularity can be re-established. Your husband can play a vital role in this.

Ovaral is a birth control pill. These pills contain hormones. If you take these pills regularly for 21 days, 4-7 after the discontinuation, you will get withdrawal bleeding; i.e. menses. Then start the pills again from the day 2 of the cycle. You may require these pills for about 3 months when your cycles may be regularized.

I am sure, once you start these pills, you will be in a position to enjoy your honeymoon nicely.
