Can I Take Ovral Tablet To Regularize Period Having Experienced A Missed Abortion?

I got married in march 2010.i had missed abortion in my first pregnancy, which was found at 9 weeks. Doctor suggested me to take pills to abort it in jan 2011. After the abortion, doctor scanned and said few retained products are there but it would get cleared in my next periods. When i got my next periods it got prolonged for about 10 days.So Doctor scanned again and said that very minimal is yet to be cleared and suggested to take tablet again. I took the tablet for 2 days and scanned after 4 days, again the retained products size has reduced but not cleared completely. Doctor has advised to wait for another week to scan again before doing D&C. Also doctor suggested to take OVRAL L tablet to regularize my periods. I would like to know whether to wait for another week before proceeding to D&C? And taking OVRAL L tablet will affect in my next pregnancy?
