Can I Take Primolut N To Stop Bleeding After Insertion Of Mirena IUD?

hi , I am suffering with period pain and iron deficiency that’s why my GP recommend the Mirena. She insert Mirena in July 2017. But I had very bad experience with 20 days continued spotting. I’ve removed Mirena in March 2018. But after that I had heavy periods and they found Adenomyosis. On Friday my Gp insert Mirena as I am suffering with Adenomyosis ( heavier periods). After 2 days again I’m getting heavy periods. Can I use the Primolut N to stop bleeding after insert the Mirena please? Before Merina I had 20 days heavy period continued. To insert Mirena I’ve used 4 days these tablets. Thank you so much.

Hi,

Yes, you can take Primolut N to stop the bleeding caused by Mirena. However, if the bleeding is very frequent and irregular, then a local examination is advised to rule out any cervical or vaginal pathology.

Hope I have answered your query.
