Can I Take Allegra Instead Of Antihistamine For Cough?

Hi,
I am currently taking Protonix for acid reflux. For the last 2 weeks I have a very bad cough, it feels like something us stuck there? My doctor fave me antihistamine thinking it could be an allergy, but this medicine makes me very drowsy, can I take Allegra instead?

Allegra is an antihistamine medicine only.
But one antihistamine like Montec LC is having specific effect on respiratory tract allergy.
Consult your doctor and discuss about this.
