Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I hope that the course of antibiotic must have been greatly effective in reducing the infection/abscess. However, If the lesion is not yet completely healed and is still oozing/painful a bit, then you can extend the course of oral antibiotic for another 3 days.

Topical fucidin cream over the open abscess is not a problem, application of a topical antibiotic like fusidic acid would rather help in curing any remaining infection and also prevent/decrease the chances of any new superimposed infection till the wound gets completely covered by new healthy skin

regards
