It is better to have an examination with otorhinolaryngologist ( ENT specialist) to rule out the condition. Taking antihistamines and mast cell stabilzers for long term will be helpful. Corticosteroid nasal sprays like fluticasone is also prescribed for this condition. But the best treatment is avoid exposure from causative factors. If cold drinks or ice cream irritates better to avoid it. Cough syrup if contains antihistamines like chlorpheniramine then it will give you some relief by taking. Hope this may help you.
