Can I Taste Or Smell Gut? Need Colon Cleansing?

Hello Dr. Grief (Your name s not common), I am very concerned, sometimes I feel like I can taste or smell my gut! Like I feel this stench come through from my gut and the smell is usually not nice! What s the problem. I eat sometimes twice a day because of my Job. Do I need colon cleansing? Is this something to be really worried about? Please advise. Thanks, Eros.

The smell you are feeling can be due gut infection or it can be due to some central nervous system problems.A detailed physical neurological examination and colonoscopy may be needed for diagnosis.
